Vauen 5201 Sandblasted Rhodesian Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked, 9mm

Out of stock

Description

Vauen stems from Germany’s oldest tobacco pipe manufacturing company, tracing its roots back to the founding partnership of Karl Ellenberger and Carl August Ziener in Nuremberg, 1848. Out of the Ellenberger-Ziener partnership soon came the Vauen make itself, which grew to become Germany’s largest and most enduring pipe brand – a title that it continues to hold to this day.

While Vauen today is known for their distinctly modern, and even avant-garde, designs, this particular Vauen is far more traditionally-inclined. It is a simple Rhodesian in the early-20th century French mold, with a dark, burgundy sandblast and a silver trim. The pipe also has an original P-lip style stem, which Vauen uses on some models.

This Vauen is completely unsmoked, with an original bowl coating. It also comes with its original box and sleeve. The pipe is chambered for 9mm filters, such as Vauen’s own, as standard, but can be smoked without, and may accommodate an adapter of some variety for non-filtered use.
