Vauen 3906 Smooth Bent Billiard Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked, 9mm

Out of stock

Description

Vauen stems from Germany’s oldest tobacco pipe manufacturing company, tracing its roots back to the founding partnership of Karl Ellenberger and Carl August Ziener in Nuremberg, 1848. Out of the Ellenberger-Ziener partnership soon came the Vauen make itself, which grew to become Germany’s largest and most enduring pipe brand – a title that it continues to hold to this day.

If you want a simple, well made briar that will accommodate 9mm filters, you can’t really go wrong with a Vauen. After all, the company practically pioneered the 9mm filters most commonly used today and, over the last 50+ years, they’ve built a brand on pipes that would fit these filters. This particular Vauen is a very traditional bent billiard, with a little bit of silver trim and some nice bird’s-eye grain.

This pipe is completely unsmoked with an original bowl coating. As mentioned, it is chambered for 9mm filters as standard, including Vauen’s own, but also meerschaum and balsa filters of a 9mm diameter.
