Description
Ismail was born in 1958 in Eskisehir, the capital of the meerschaum world. He began his first carving lessons in 1970 under the guidance of his brother, Kemal Baglan. Ismail is a proud father of three children and grandfather to three grandchildren. His two daughters have already earned B.Sc degrees, while his son is currently pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering. Renowned for his unique style and techniques, Ismail Baglan has always been one of the most popular carvers. This particular large Indian head meerschaum pipe, which we acquired through our trade-in program, includes a large display case.
