Sergey Cherepanov Smooth Brandy Nosewarmer Estate Briar Pipe, Other Estates
Out of stock
Description
As part of the “Muscovite School” of artisans that has emerged in the last few decades, Sergey Cherepanov first apprenticed in pipe-making under Victor Yashtylov and Mikhail Revyagin. Since then, he has become one of East Europe’s premier pipe carvers, creating shorter, compact works that nonetheless carry with them the grace of the Danish masters and the heft of the Eurasian ones. This can be seen clearly in this nosewarmer-length brandy. It’s broad, bulbous, and a little muscular, while having its extraordinary “angel hair” straight grain left relatively undisturbed by a light, blonde stain. Ideal for someone who’d like a pipe as pretty as a WO Larsen Pearl that also fits easily in one’s pocket.
The condition is great. Some very minor, inner rim darkening and over-buffed stamping.
