Savinelli Saturnia 626 Partially Rusticated Estate Briar Pipe, 6mm, Italian Estates
Out of stock
Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
The Saturnia was a series of pipes sold by Savinelli around 10-15 years ago. It’s an interesting design, featuring a partial rustication capped by a smooth finish at the top of its bowl and the tip of its shank, along with a mixed brown/light brown color scheme. The pipes also featured something that contemporary Savinelli pipes typically do not have: ebonite stems.
The condition is very good. The rim shows some darkening and finish fading. The pipe comes with its original box and sleeve. As with many Savinelli pipes, this one is chambered for 6mm filters as standard, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, but will smoke just as well without.
