Savinelli Nonpareil, Sandblasted Acorn Briar Pipe, Italian Estates [SOLD OUT]
Out of stock
Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously produced high quality pipes for nearly 150 years.
Though it is sadly no longer produced, the Nonpareil (meaning ‘without equal,’ or ‘incomparable’) was one of Savinelli’s top lines, which makes sense given the name of the line. These pipes featured either a smooth, flame grained bowl, or – as in this case – a ring grained sandblast. They also featured a horn ferrule and a flared vulcanite stem, with the line represented by two gold dots on the stem, rather than the standard Savinelli logo. This one is certainly well preserved, and even comes with its original box. I have one myself, and I can say that they are as great to smoke as they are to look at.
