Savinelli Miele 642 Smooth Bent Apple Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates, 6mm
Out of stock
Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
Though it is difficult to pick, I think if I had to choose my favorite of Savinelli’s modern designs, the Miele would be in the top three at the very least. And that would be for either finish; the rusticated was a warm, woodsy brown hue, while the smooth, as seen here, was an almost virgin blonde. Both paired beautifully with their amber-like stems and three, alternating acrylic accents at its base.
The condition is great. The pipe doesn’t appear to have seen much use. As with many Savinelli pipes, this one is chambered to allow for 6mm filters – such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters – but can be used without one if its next owner prefers.
