Savinelli Linea Piu 5 Rusticated Brandy Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates

Description

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Like the Autograph series, Savinelli’s Linea Liu pipes are individually hand shaped pipes, with the latter typically being closer to traditional designs. From what I can tell, these pipes have only ever been produced intermittently, with no recent releases for a good while. This one  in particular is even rarer, however, as it is an example of one of the seldom-made “virgin” unstained Linea Pius, with parallels to be drawn between it and the coveted Punto Oro Corallo finish.

The condition is great. Some inner rim darkening, but nothing major.
