Savinelli Le Mie Rusticated Bing Billiard Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates
Out of stock
Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
I have a real soft spot for the Le Mie, and I’m not alone, either. The series was released a long while ago, popping up sporadically over the course of a few years, and production was, sadly, very limited. As a result, like the Punto Oro Corallo, the Estella, or the Nonpareil, the Le Mie is something of a collector’s item (luckily I already have my own—thanks again, Marty). The design itself is much older than the Le Mie, however, as these pipes are based on some of the earliest models manufactured by Savinelli, and in particular those that Achille Savinelli himself was most fond of. The result of all this is a highly distinctive pipe and one that is not replicated by any Savinelli pipe—nor even any Savinelli shape—produced today.
The condition is good. Some rim darkening, minor finish fading.
