Savinelli Elegance 105 Smooth Billiard Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Not to be confused with the contemporary Eleganza line, Elegance was a name of a number of different lines Savinelli released (and later discontinued) at least a few decades ago. In the case of this iteration, I’d say the name is just about perfect. It is a simple, traditional, and of course very elegant billiard, with a smaller stature that makes it eminently portable (and clenchable), without sacrificing on bowl capacity. It also features some marvelous straight grain and a jet black ebonite stem.

The condition is very good. Some minor inner rim darkening.
