Savinelli De Luxe Milano 814 KS, Smooth Canadian Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates [SOLD OUT]

Description
It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously produced high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.
Savinelli’s De Luxe Milano is a fairly old line, and one that isn’t produced anymore, which is a shame. While newer Savinelli’s tend to be more colorful or elaborate in their finishes, the De Luxe Milano series offered simple, traditional aesthetics combined with Savinelli’s Italian-style English-French shapes. In this example, the finish is a warm brown-blonde stain, highlighting some beautiful cross-grain patterns, paired with a jet black vulcanite stem (something Savinelli, in recent years, has used infrequently, preferring acrylic). The pipe is essentially a Canadian shape, though Savinelli’s 814 Canadian has an ever so slight bend to it, which I personally have found makes it a little easier to clench. At 43 grams, it isn’t especially heavy, either.
The condition is excellent. I don’t see anything particularly noteworthy in terms of wear. It is pre-smoked, but perhaps a better choice of word would be ‘pre-loved’ in this case.
