PapaBearPipes Faux Cavalier Sandblasted Briar Pipe, New [SOLD OUT]

Description

PapaBearPipes are made by North American artisan Tim Beaumont. Beaumont has been making pipes since 2018, cultivating a unique style that isn’t afraid to mix and match design elements and to create something completely out of the ordinary.

If you’ve followed Beaumont’s work before, you’ll know that he has a flair for the extravagant and the extra-ordinary. While all of his pipes are inventive in their designs, every so often he will create something really different. In this case, I suppose it’s not so much that Beaumont has created something completely new – after all, this pipe shows clear inspiration from the Bavarian hunting pipes of old – but he’s taken something very traditional and made it entirely his own.

Unlike traditional cavaliers, the bowl on this one is briar, with horn adornments at the base and the shank end. It’s a large pipe with some good weigth to it, but it slots between the fingers quite nicely.
