Orlik London 5378 Smooth Bent Rhodesian Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked [SOLD OUT]
Out of stock
Description
Orlik was an English pipe manufacturer founded in 1899 by Louis Orlik. While originally the company’s mission was to produce low-cost pipes, the make would ultimately be known for the distinctly high quality of their products. Consequently, Orlik pipes are today a favorite among pipe smokers and collectors, especially those who prefer the hobby’s Great British classics.
I like Orlik’s take on the traditional Rhodesian shape here. It’s around a quarter-bent Rhodesian, but the angle of the bowl doesn’t rise to meet the level of the button, giving the shape a canted appearance, somewhat like a cutty or a zulu. It feels great in the hand, and works well with the brown-sugar stain used by Orlik on this pipe, too.
The pipe is completely unsmoked, with a factory-original bowl coating to help ease in its first smokes. It also comes with its original box and sock.
