No Name Partially Rusticated Bent Dublin Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked [SOLD OUT]

Description

This pipe was a bit of a mystery to me, what with it not being stamped. Is isn’t a basket pipe – you can tell that just from looking at it – and it has a smooth panel set aside from the rusticated finish where a stamp would, ordinarily, be placed. It feels well made and if it was going to be rejected due to a flaw, it would not have been finished, as the flaw would have been recognized far sooner than that. Perhaps the maker simply forgot before shipping it out. It happens to the best of us…

The pipe seems to be Italian. That’s the impression i get from the design, anyway. It’s a nice rusticated Dublin with a smooth polished rim, an acrylic stem, and a nice tortoiseshell acrylic band in between. It’s a shame it isn’t stamped, but the price should more than make up for that.
