Description

In 2022, Chris Morgan teamed up with friend and fellow artisan pipe-maker Sean Reum to create the Workshop series. The series was intended to be a step-up from factory pipes, offering pipe smokers hand made pipes at a more affordable price point. Small batches of Workshop pipes continue to be made every so often, though production is very limited.

This is a Danish-style egg, to be sure, but I’d be more inclined to tie its style to the first wave of Danish master artisans, such as Sixten Ivarsson, Poul Rasmussen, Emil Chonowitsch, and Sven Knudsen. Rather than be voluptuous and extravagant, it’s a functionalist little pipe, one whose shape is distinct, but reserved at the same time – something accentuated by its simple black stain and stem.
