MBSD Meerschaum Silver Reverse Calabash Stubby Rhodesian Block Meerschaum Pipe

Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our new series of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

So-called “stubby” pipes are far from new in the world of briar, with prime examples being the designs of Danish masters, such as Jens Tao Nielsen or Nanna Ivarsson. But it seems as though such shapes are having a resurgence lately, thanks to work of carvers as far flung as America, such as Chris Morgan, and China, such as Ce Chen. This particular Silver model continues that tradition, but in meerschaum. Though nowhere near nosewarmer length, it is nonetheless marked by its stout, stubby Rhodesian figure. Taking advantage of this muscularity in the shank, the pipe has been fitted with a reverse calabash chamber system, providing an even cooler, drier smoke.
