Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our new series of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

I’ve been on a bit of a maritime kick lately, having grown to really appreciate the strange, boat-like shapes of artisans such as—of course—Sixten Ivarsson and his Stanwell shape “20,” but also more contemporary creations in that vein by figures such as Andrea Gigliuicci and Andrey Kharitonov. Naturally, I asked my carver in Türkiye what he made of these pipes. This was his response: a fantastically unique, skater-like shape that blends the maritime aesthetic of some of the artisans mentioned, as well as a little of Castello and its shape 55. This meerschaum also has a reverse calabash system housed in its shank, which should make for a nice, cool and dry smoke.
