The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our new series of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

Simple and effortlessly ergonomic to the point that functionalist stalwarts like Tom Eltang have built signature designs around it, the poker is testament to the notion that traditions do not exist without good reasons behind them. As far as pipe shapes go, there’s not much you could do to improve upon it—but that doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t try. Eltang reinvented the poker by slimming it down, removing all but the bare essentials so that it would be even more portable and easy-going; for this Silver line MBSD Meerschaum pipe, an inverse strategy was adopted. By enlarging the shank so that a second “reverse calabash” chamber could be stowed within it, this poker retains its basic form, but with the added benefit of a mechanism to cool and dry the smoke that passes through it.

This meer has been discounted to reflect the circular scratches on the rim.
