MBSD Meerschaum Silver Reverse Calabash Pickaxe Block Meerschaum Pipe

Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our new series of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

While I was wondering what kinds of shapes I would like for the latest batch of MBSD Meerschaum pipes, I asked our new hire if he could think of any designs that might have been neglected. In addition to the Peewit he first suggested, he also brought up ax and pickax shapes. So, I sent my carver pictures of designs from both traditional charts, such as Dunhill’s Quaint shapes, and more modern variations, such as the freehand pickaxes of W.O Larsen, Celius, Peder Jeppesen, and others. This is one of the versions my carver sent, with the addition of quintessentially Turkish latticework to the design. Alongside its large, broad, blade-like bowl, the pipe also features a reverse calabash chamber system embedded in the shank for an especially cool, dry smoke.
