MBSD Meerschaum Silver Reverse Calabash Bulldog Block Meerschaum Pipe

Description

The MBSD Meerschaum Silver is our new series of silver mounted meerschaum pipes. Using the same high-grade, fast-coloring Turkish meerschaum found on our Deluxe series, these pipes exclusively feature silver army mounts or spigot mounts.

As with many of our Deluxe series meerschaums, this Silver series pipe was partly inspired by prominent briar shapes in post-war pipe-making. In this instance, inspiration came from the stout, bulbous bulldog shapes of Danish carvers, such as those of S. Bang, Peter Hedegaard, and Kurt Balleby, to name a few. But, like a number of our other meerschaums, we decided to marry the influences of modern briar handicraft with the quintessentially Turkish artistry of meerschaum carving, in the form of beautiful latticework around the bowl.
