MBSD Meerschaum Reverse Calabash Brandy Block Meerschaum Pipe

Description

At MBSD, our mainstay of meerschaum pipes are our Deluxe Meerschaums, which are all fitted with a patented Briar-Mortise system. But we, like many meerschaum smokers, also appreciate how good sterling silver looks on a meerschaum pipe too. So with each batch of pipes from our carver in Türkiye, we try to have a few made with sterling silver fitments, and in the case of silver army mounted pipes, we use the same, durable Delrin tenons as are used for the Deluxe series.

This one is a nice, plump, Danish brandy-style shape, in keeping with the many other Danish, Italian, and other national briar pipe shapes I’ve been working with my carver to have rendered in meerschaum. This one has also been carved to include a reverse calabash system, i.e., a widened, second chamber within the shank that helps cool and dry the smoke even further during its use.
