MBSD Meerschaum Masters is our line for special, typically figural, meerschaum pipes carved by some of today’s greatest living meerschaum carvers. For this pipe, we enlisted the services of Turkish master Kenan.

For about as long as meerschaum pipes have existed, their carvers have been using them as an opportunity to create genuine works of art. The hunting motif has been employed in meerschaum carving for centuries, with this particular pipe carrying on that tradition. Its subject matter is a Hungarian Vizsla – a popular game hound – in the act of retrieving its master’s spoils. Hand worked down to the slightest details of feather and fur, the pipe’s owner should, we hope, find it as beautiful and as faithful a companion as the pooch it depicts.
