Kaywoodie pipes are as American as apple pie. Starting in 1919 as a pipe brand for KB&B, a pipe shop dating all the way back to 1851, Kaywoodie has since then been a staple of American-made pipes. In the present, many Kaywoodies are collectors’ items, in addition to being fantastic smokers.

That’s because Kaywoodie pipes stopped having four-digit shape codes around 1936. So, this is a very old, pre-1936 pipe – but exactly how old is it? Well, the Super Grain first appeared around 1931-32, meaning this one is approximately 88-93 years old. That’s pretty impressive. But you know what’s more impressive than that?
