Jobey Stromboli 335 Rusticated Apple Estate Briar Pipe, American Estates
Out of stock
Description
Jobey is a name that has been associated with a number of pipe manufacturers, vendors, and nationalities over the years. The Jobey name has also been attached to a wide variety of pipes and styles, from the Italian-inspired Stromboli line, to the Jobey Dansk pipes carved in the workshop of Karl Erik.
Speaking of the Stromboli, I’m actually a big fan of this series from Jobey. They remind me a little of Castello’s Sea Rock pipes, but the rustication is generally deeper and craggier than modern ones, being more reminiscent of Carlo Scotti’s earliest pipes. The colorful acrylic stems are always interesting too, like this one’s swirling green hue.
The condition is good. There’s what looks to be some rim darkening, but nothing major.
