Il Ceppo Freeline F1692, Rusticated Bent Apple Spigot Estate Briar Pipe [SOLD OUT]
Out of stock
Description
Il Ceppo is an Italian brand that has been producing high-grade pipes since the 1970s. Founded by the architect Giorgio Imperatori in Pesaro, Italy, Il Ceppo is a central figure in what has been called the Pesaro School of pipe design, along with other companies such as Ser Jacopo and Mastro de Paja.
This is a beautiful example of Il Ceppo’s output. While it may look like an army mount bent brandy, the bowl and stem are actually joined by a silver spigot. The bowl itself is rusticated in the quintessentially rocky, granular Italian style, but the rim has been left smooth, creating a nice contrast of finishes. Speaking of the rim, it is swimming with natural bird’s-eye grain. It’s a large pipe, and should provide its next owner with hours of smoking pleasure, when filled with the right blend. The previous owner was very kind to it too, so the condition is excellent.
