Description
During the 1960s and earlier, GBD pipes emerged as the epitome of affordable high-end pipes. These pipes rivaled renowned brands like Dunhill in terms of quality, design, and price. GBD maintained a consistent reputation for producing exceptionally well-made pipes, using predominantly Algerian or Grecian briar. The craftsmanship and attention to detail showcased in their pipes were second to none. Notably, in the late 1960s to late 1970s, GBD introduced the Collector and Unique lines, which showcased the exceptional talents of Horry Jamieson. Having previously crafted pipes for Barling for many years, Jamiesons expertise in freehand design shone through in these lines. Older GBD pieces are not only highly regarded for their unique and intricate designs but also celebrated for their superb smoking qualities. Each GBD pipe tells its own story and offers a one-of-a-kind smoking experience, making them highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
