Custombilt-style Partially Rusticated Bullcap Estate Briar Pipe, Other Estates

Description

It appears that the stamping on this pipe was buffed off over time, leading me to be unable to identify who made it. But, there’s an obvious connection to one pipe make in the design: Custom-bilt, or Custombilt as it later came to be known. Whether this is a Custombilt pipe or simply a maker inspired by these pipes, such as BP Jum or Tom Howard, will remain a mystery. Nonetheless, it’s a great pipe, showing off the cult-favorite bullcap shape popular in the mid-20th century.

The condition is very good. There are a few handling marks, but it’s held up well.
