Comoy’s Christmas 1980 Smooth Canadian Estate Briar Pipe, English Estates
Out of stock
Description
Comoy’s is a historic brand in pipe making, and possibly the most historic brand in the making of briar pipes. Though originally founded in 1825 by a French family from Saint Claude, France, production of Comoy’s pipes was soon moved to London, England, where it established itself as one of the quintessential English pipe companies.
While today Christmas pipes are most readily associated with Peterson and Savinelli, there was a time when limited edition, seasonal offerings were most common in England. This Comoy’s is from that period. It’s a sleek, fairly lightweight Canadian, showing off an almost tiger stripe finish of flame grain accentuated by a golden stain.
The condition is great. There’s a little bit of darkening, and a few small scratches, on the rim.
