Chadhall Smooth Billiard Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates

Description

I could not find much information about this Chadhall make billiard. All I know is that it was made in Italy, and that it was probably imported to the US, or perhaps the UK, possibly for a store of some kind. The stamping of “Algerian Briar” likely signals a mid-century make, as that was far more common a practice then. In any case, it’s a nice looking pipe, with a typically blonde Italian finish.

The condition is great. A couple of tiny, natural sandpits in the briar exterior and very slight over-reaming at the lip of the chamber. A great workhorse if I ever saw one.
