Astleys (Les Wood) Straight Apple, English Estate [SOLD OUT]

Description

Recently, we were fortunate to have received a collection of exquisite Astley pipes crafted by the renowned Les Wood. While assisting the Bentley family with the sale of the Astley pipes, which they owned until the unfortunate closure of the shop, we had the opportunity to engage in a conversation with Les regarding his time spent creating pipes for Astleys. According to Les, he would meticulously handcraft 10-12 pipes, presenting them to Paul Bentley, who would consistently acquire the entire lot. Following the agreement, Les would then proceed to imprint the Astleys stamp on the pipes. What truly captivates me about this particular pipe is the harmonious fusion of two iconic names in the realm of English pipe making: Astleys and Les Wood. This particular model features a sleek, smooth straight apple shape with a long stem, measuring just over 7 inches in total length. Judging by its impeccable condition, it appears to have been smoked no more than once or twice.
