1974 Dunhill Red Bark 592, 4 RB Oom Paul Estate Briar Pipe, English Estates [SOLD OUT]
Out of stock
Description
To veteran pipe smokers, Dunhill needs no introduction. Beginning in 1907, Alfred Dunhill began selling Dunhill pipes at the tobacconist shop he owned on London’s Duke Street. Very quickly, these pipes gained the reputation of being the ‘Rolls-Royce’ of pipes due to how expertly crafted they were. Today, Dunhill is likely Britain’s most famous pipe manufacturer, and continues to produce some of the most treasured pipes a smoker can buy.
This particular Dunhill is from the Red Bark line, a sandblasted, wine red line produced from 1972 to 1987. The Red Bark is something of a cult classic among Dunhill fans, who lament that it was discontinued so quickly. The pipe is a traditional Oom Paul, also known as Hungarian, shape. While the finish is a little darkened with handling marks from the previous owner, the pipe is in good shape. It should be perfect for fans of classic pipes and collectors of rare Dunhills alike.
