Antique 1900 T.C.G. Straight Billiard, Hallmarked Sterling Silver [SOLD OUT]
Out of stock
Description
For those who are familiar with MBSD Pipes, it’s no secret that we have a soft spot for antique pipes. At the 2023 Chicago Pipe Show, we stumbled upon a cased straight billiard that immediately caught our attention. Amongst a sea of highly desirable pipes, this old pipe truly stood out. It bears the stamp T.C.G., which was a London Tobacconist in the early 1900s. T.C.G. commissioned various companies to produce pipes for them to sell under their own name. The silver on the pipe is hallmarked with an anchor, lion, and lowercase “a,” indicating that it was made in Birmingham in 1900.
The company responsible for the metalwork was Frederick Hart Horton & Charles Jolliffe trading as Horton & Jolliffe.
