Savinelli Luisa Fiammata 413 KS Sandblasted Dublin Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Dedicated to one of Savinelli’s master pipe makers, the Luisa Fiammata was a limited series released by Savinelli a couple of years ago, with (aside from that dedication) two defining features: previously discontinued Savinelli shapes, and excellent grain. Hence we have this distinctive and seldom seem 413 KS, oval shank Dublin, with a wonderfully crisp and consistent ring grain sandblast finish. Fewer than 300 Luisa Fiammata pipes were produced, so having one land on my desk is certainly not a common occurrence.

The condition is very good. Some minor rim darkening and finish fading.
