Kaywoodie Virgin Grain Smooth Zulu Estate Briar Pipe, American Estates
Out of stock
Description
Kaywoodie pipes are as American as apple pie. Starting in 1919 as a pipe brand for KB&B, a pipe shop dating all the way back to 1851, Kaywoodie has since then been a staple of American-made pipes. In the present, many Kaywoodies are collectors’ items, in addition to being fantastic smokers.
There’s plenty to like about this Kaywoodie Virgin Grain model. For one, the shape is eminently traditional, taking the form of the Zulu designs of early French briars, including a trumpeting, beveled rim. The grain is modest, but nonetheless shows off plenty of bird’s-eye patterns through its blonde stain. Lastly, it’s built to be a good traveling companion, being not too large (though still possessing plenty of chamber volume), and not too heavy, making it pocket-suitable and a comfortable clencher for seasoned smokers.
The condition is great. Some inner rim darkening.
