It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Savinelli’s Dune series is a new one for 2025. It features completely natural stummels, with a minimalistic rusticated finish, along with a horn-hued acrylic stem, giving the pipe an extra old-world touch. As the stummels are left natural, only flawless briar is selected to make them. This Dune is rendered in Savinelli’s 320 author shape, one of the most popular shapes in the make’s catalog, and one especially well suited for mixture and ribbon cuts.

As with most Savinelli pipes, this one has a 6mm filter capacity (including Savinelli’s own balsa filters), but will perform just as well without one.
