Savinelli Fantasia 920 KS Rusticated Dublin Estate Briar Pipe Unsmoked, 6mm

Description

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously offered high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

Debuting in 2019, the Fantasia was part of a new variety of series by the Italian make, ones featuring distinct, custom-cast acrylic stems paired with Savinelli’s classic shapes. This is the rusticated variant, whose contrast stain, to my eye, complements the maroon and navy blue hues of the stem perfectly.

This Savinelli is completely unsmoked with an original bowl coating. As with most modern Savinelli pipes, this one is chambered for 6mm filters, such as Savinelli’s balsa filters, as standard, but will smoke just as well without one, if the owner prefers.
