La Strada Centurion 166 Rusticated Dublin Estate Briar Pipe, Italian Estates

Description

Little information has survived about the La Strada make, save for that they produced in Italy and that, at one point, they were imported to the US through the historic Tinder Box tobacconist. Given that The Tinder Box was known for their large selection of high quality Italian pipes—sometimes marketed under new names for US customers—I would guess that this one underwent a similar treatment.

The pipe itself is eminently Italian, with a pebble-dash rustication and a light, tan stain. It is also extremely lightweight, making it an ideal clencher.

The condition is fair. Some rim darkening and handling marks around the bowl.
