Rossi by Savinelli Sera 8804 Rusticated Canadian Briar Pipe, 6mm, New

Description
Rossi pipes are made by Savinelli, Italy’s most popular make, and an equally historic one at that. The Savinelli company itself was founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli and has continuously produced high-quality pipes for nearly 150 years. In 1985, Savinelli debuted the Rossi make, as a way of applying the same high-quality materials and methods used in making the Savinelli pipes, but at a more affordable price point. Rossi pipes are therefore typically classic shapes from the Savinelli catalog, but with more modest, simpler designs.
If you’re familiar with Savinelli pipes, you may recognize this pipe as being the same shape as the 804 in the Savinelli catalog. This is indeed that same shape, but in this case it’s been used for the Rossi “Sera” series, hence the minor change in shape code. As for the design, the word, “sera,” is Italian for “evening,” with the Sera series serving as a kind of “dress” pipe that is also found in traditional English, such as Dunhill. As such, these pipes feature a dark brown stain and a slight silvery trim, with their design completed by a stem cut from jet black Lucite.
As with many Savinelli-made pipes, this Rossi is chambered for 6mm filters as standard, such as Savinelli’s own balsa filters, but will smoke just as well without one.
