Orlik Rose 39878 Smooth Bent Apple Estate Briar Pipe, Unsmoked
Out of stock
Description
Orlik was an English pipe manufacturer founded in 1899 by Louis Orlik. While originally the company’s mission was to produce low-cost pipes, the make would ultimately be known for the distinctly high quality of their products. Consequently, Orlik pipes are today a favorite among pipe smokers and collectors, especially those who prefer the hobby’s Great British classics.
The Rose is an Orlik line I’m particularly fond of. The name is very appropriate; it is indeed the hue of a red, red rose in full bloom. The stain also gives a nice contrast effect with the fiery briar patterns underneath. Elegant, but still fairly understated.
This Rose is also completely unsmoked, with a factory original bowl coating to help break it in. There’s a tiny nick on the outer edge of the rim, but it’s superficial. In any case, I’ve reduced the price to make up for that.
