Savinelli Estella 604 EX, Rusticated Oom Paul Estate Briar Pipe [SOLD OUT]

It is probably fair to say that Savinelli is Italy’s most famous pipe brand. Founded in Milan in 1876 by Achille Savinelli, the brand has continuously produced high quality pipes for nearly 150 years. Though various Savinelli lines have come and gone over the years, the brand has always been notable for putting out classically styled pipes with a distinctly Italian twist.

This Savinelli comes from the brand’s short-lived Estella line, one that went on to become a cult favorite among collectors and smokers. In fact, Estella pipes are so beloved that I haven’t had one stay in stock for more than a few days once we’ve put it online. There’s just something about the impressively rugged rustication style and unconventionally colorful stems that makes the Estella line so appealing. Anyway, here’s another one, but this type in an even rarer Oom Paul, or Hungarian, shape.

The condition is excellent. The rim may be a little darkened, but that may also just be the finish. To be honest, every Estella that comes across my desk looks like it has been babied by the previous owner. They tend to take good care of these.
