Sasieni 4 Dot Ruff Root Dark, Sandblasted Dublin Estate Briar Pipe [SOLD OUT]
Out of stock
Description
Along with names like Barling, Charatan, and Dunhill Sasieni holds a special place in the history of English smoking pipes – one near to its very beginnings. So the story goes, Sasieni himself worked for Dunhill during its early days. But eventually he left Dunhill, having his own ideas about how pipes should be made, and founded Sasieni. This was 1919, and Sasieni has been the closest thing to a household name in English pipes ever since.
Sometimes it’s true what they say – you can’t beat the classics. And it doesn’t get more classic than a Sasieni Dublin. This one is dressed in the make’s Ruff Root sandblast, and features some absolutely stunning ring grain around its bowl, emphasized by the dark burgundy stain. It’s an understated, but nevertheless gorgeous, pipe, and at 39 grams it should clench reasonably well.
The condition is excellent. The finish is without wear, the vulcanite stem is without tooth abrasions or dents, and even the rim still shines. The pipe doesn’t appear to have been smoked much at all. Plus, this one even comes with its original box.
