Kiko Genuine Block Meerschaum 236, Straight Billiard, Block Meerschaum Pipe [SOLD OUT]

Description

It’s easy to assume block meerschaum is just block meerschaum, but where it’s mined can determine its color, density and smoking qualities. This pipe was made of African meerschaum, which is vastly different than Turkish meerschaum. African meerschaum is darker and far more dense than Turkish block meerschaum. Turkish meerschaum is more porous and easier to carve.

 

The largest producer of African meerschaum was a brand named Kiko. They made several lines, all under the Kiko brand.
