Description
Lindstrom, a renowned German company established in the late 1950s, made a significant mark in the world of pipes with their groundbreaking invention: the brass ferrule patent. This ingenious design revolutionized the smoking experience by introducing a unique feature that allowed smokers to regulate the airflow, achieving a dry and cool smoking pleasure like never before.
The brass ferrule, often equipped with a single hole but sometimes featuring up to four holes of varying sizes, was designed to be rotated over an airhole in the stem. An arrow on the stem conveniently marked the precise alignment point, ensuring effortless adjustment. By aligning the holes on the ferrule with the corresponding airhole, smokers had the power to control the amount of air introduced into the pipe during each draw.
